DataKnow Begins Operations in Ecuador

Noticia Ecuador

As part of its expansion plan, DataKnow has successfully launched its operations in Ecuador in 2023, aiming to significantly contribute to the country’s digital transformation.

DataKnow lands in Ecuador at a pivotal moment for economic growth, with the data industry being key to achieving the goals of Ecuador’s Digital Agenda 2025, which seeks to build a more inclusive country from a digital perspective. The company, ranked number one in the Big Data category in the Top 100 Open Startups innovation ranking, has decided to expand its business into the Ecuadorian market due to the rapid growth of the data analytics sector in the country.

The Ecuadorian data analytics market is in a phase of accelerated growth, driven by the increasing adoption of analytics solutions across various industries, such as banking, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, and government. This paves the way for greater investment from companies specializing in data solutions and analysis.

“With Ecuador, we hope to strengthen the entire ecosystem and the data industry in the country. It is a strategy we are implementing at a regional level, in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. As foreign investors, we see Ecuador as a land of opportunities. It has a considerable number of trade agreements, we are part of the Pacific Alliance, the Andean Community of Nations, and also, double taxation agreements (with Colombia) that facilitate commercial activities between countries. This has favored our entry into the country and allows us to contribute to its growth from the data industry,” says Carlos Murillo, CEO of DataKnow.

According to DataKnow’s figures, the data industry has significant growth and job creation projections, which are very important not only for Ecuador but also for the Andean region.

DataKnow has had an office in Mexico since 2022, and its expansion plan includes not only Ecuador but also Peru, aiming to reach the entire Southern Andean market.
